Maine bog

Daniel sent me these two pictures from Maine.  One of the cabin he stayed in for a week while collecting in the bog seen in the second picture.  The bog and cabin are in a unique protected nature preserve which Daniel will be visiting many times over the next several years as he documents the diverse flora that grow there.  Daniel has been exploring the bog by following the moose trails that cross it.  More on the bog ecosystem once I see Daniel and get more details from him.  And maybe more if and when I get to go as his assistant.  The cabin has no electricity, just propane which Daniel says makes a beautiful light at night.  Imagine going to sleep hearing the crashing waves, no one nearby, just peace and nature.
